Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety in Perth (BSB41415)

The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41415) is an accredited qualification that provides participants with the knowledge required to assist in managing WHS within the workplace. The Cert IV in WHS program focuses on the practical application of WHS management, using realistic activities and case studies. This program will provide participants with the knowledge and skills to make a real difference to their workforce and organisation.

Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety Course outline

The Certificate IV consists of 10 units packaged as: 5 core units PLUS 5 elective units which can be varied to suit job role and workplace requirements or professional development plans and progression to a higher level qualification. All units must be successfully completed to obtain a qualification.

Payment options

The certificate IV has the following payment options

  • Deposit of $500 at registration and balance payable at the commencement of the course
  • Monthly payments of over 6 months from commencement

What’s included in the Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety course

Our courses include detailed learning materials, assessments, certification upon successful completion and ongoing trainer support throughout the course. Lunch and refreshments are included for classroom workshops.

Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety course Assessments

The Certificate IV assessments are competency based and conducted open book comprising both theoretical and practical exercises. Students will be expected to attend all classes and complete all tasks and activities during the course. There are also activities to be completed outside of the course – these activities are aimed at allowing the learners to apply the course content in their own workplace environment. In addition to the face to face
training and workshops, participants need to complete a set of practical exercises and questions as post-course application of knowledge and skills.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning is available for each unit of competency based on relevant workplace experience, formal training and/or other expertise. To apply for RPL please discuss with AITP administration or your trainer/assessor. For Recognition or Prior Learning you will be required to submit a portfolio of evidence within 12 months of the enrolment date.
